1 cup of powdered red chili pepper
½ cup of paprika
1 tbsp dehydrated, ground onion
½ tbsp dehydrated, ground garlic
1 tbsp cardamom powder
¼ tbsp cinnamon powder
¼ tbsp clove powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
1 tbsp fenugreek powder
1 tbsp ginger powder
1 tbsp salt
- Mix all of the ingredients well in a bowl.
- You can buy the spices (cardamom, fenugreek, etc.) or prepare them yourself by grinding them well using an electric coffee grinder, or a mortar & pestle.
- You can safely keep Berbere for 3 months in the fridge in an airtight container.
